White tea is made from delicate buds and the youngest tea leaves. That is why it is considered the most luxurious tea on the market, as well as the most difficult to obtain. However, it is worth the effort – after all, the younger the leaves used to make the dried herb, the more beneficial substances penetrate into the brewed infusion.

Where does white tea come from? Initially, it was cultivated only in imperial tea gardens, where its leaves were plucked in spring, then gently steamed and rinsed with spring water. Then it was dried and ground, and this is how one of the most expensive products on the tea market was created, which only the imperial family could afford. Even later, when its production became machine-made and more common, it could only be purchased in China. This is all due to the delicacy of white tea and the difficulty of storing it. Fortunately, today it has become a product available in almost every country in the world.

The production of white tea is the least complex of all teas. Freshly harvested leaves are withered and dried to remove water from them. In the past, drying was done only in the sun, today it is done using special electronically controlled dryers. Then, in some cases, the tea is additionally rolled.
White tea is very delicate, so it is best suited for people who are sensitive to flavors and aromas. You can feel fruity, floral and vegetable notes in it, it all depends on the type of tea. You need to remember to brew it properly: the brewing temperature cannot be too high because the infusion will become bitter (just like with green tea infusion). The best temperature will be around 80 degrees Celsius. You can also use the dried herb for brewing multiple times, from 2 to 6 brewings, as you wish.
