In the summer heat, you really want to refresh yourself with a cool, tasty and healthy drink. And the best choice for many is iced tea, which not only quenches thirst, but also lifts the mood and fills the body with new strength and energy. This tonic drink is prepared from regular black or green tea, to which is added the juice of lemon, orange or other fruits, ground nuts, mint, jasmine, ice and sugar. Thanks to such additives, iced teas contain many vitamins, microelements and other valuable substances, which makes them very beneficial for health and the body as a whole.

Iced teas have the following properties

• fill the body with necessary vitamins, proteins and nutrients, which is very important in the heat, when there is no appetite at all;

• rich in flavonoids, which are natural antioxidants and help prolong youth, slow down the aging process, prevent the appearance of cancer cells and diseases of the heart system;

• help normalize blood pressure and dilate blood vessels, have a beneficial effect on the functioning of the heart, which makes them indispensable for the hot season;

• have a beneficial effect on the digestive system, improve appetite;

• are sources of B-group vitamins, necessary for healthy skin and hair that suffer from intense exposure to sunlight;

• help restore water balance in the body and improve oxygen access to cells.

Such properties determine the invigorating, refreshing and healing effects of iced teas, making them ideal drinks for the hot summer. But only freshly prepared teas have beneficial properties, so they should not be left for the next day, especially since it is very easy to prepare a tasty and tonic drink.

METHOD FOR PREPARING ICE TEA

Determine the proportions using this formula: 1 teaspoon of tea per 200-250 ml of cold water. For maximum taste and freshness, put it in the refrigerator overnight to steep.

The following teas are best suited for cold brewing:

🍃Bai Hao Silver Needle – gives a subtle malt-honey taste

🍃Kukicha Kabuse  – uniquely sweet and delicate flavor profile without a trace of astringency.

🍃 Black Lapsang Souchong – spicy pine aroma and a hint of smokedness

🍃 All Chinese green teas promote the healthy tone of the body, stimulate brain function and improve metabolism

And there is no need to infuse Japanese Matcha powdered teas. Stir in the bottle and that’s it, you can savor it.

In conclusion, iced tea stands out as the quintessential summer beverage, offering both refreshment and revitalization in the sweltering heat. With its myriad of health benefits, including hydration, antioxidants, and essential nutrients, it serves as the perfect antidote to summer lethargy. Remember, the key to unlocking the full potential of iced tea lies in its freshness, so indulge in its invigorating flavors and rejuvenating properties while it’s at its peak.
