Research conducted in Shanghai involving over a thousand women suffering from menstrual pain explored the efficacy of green and oolong teas. The findings revealed that these teas, particularly green tea, significantly reduced painful cramps. The recommendation to drink green tea during difficult menstrual days extends beyond pain relief.



Green tea’s hydrating properties and ability to maintain proper iron and hemoglobin levels are noteworthy. Its calming and mood-enhancing effects are also advantageous. Additionally, opting for green tea over coffee, known for its high caffeine content potentially exacerbating contractions, is prudent. Encouraging women, especially those enduring painful periods, to incorporate green tea into their routine can serve as a substitute for coffee or complement other treatments. Moderation is key, as with any remedy. In conclusion, promoting the consumption of tea, especially green tea, during menstruation can offer not only pain relief but also various supportive benefits.
